8th Wielkopolska Welding Symposium – 1 October at MTP
Nine presentations, an equipment exhibition and live welding demonstrations. On 1 October, Pavilion 7 at MTP Poznań Expo will host the 8th Wielkopolska Welding Symposium “Innovations in Welding”. The MTP Group and ITM INDUSTRY EUROPE are partners of the event.
The symposium is organised by TECHNIKA SPAWALNICZA POZNAŃ and Linde Gaz Polska under the patronage of the Welding Section of the Poznań Branch of SIMP (Association of Polish Mechanical Engineers and Technicians). For eight editions the format has stayed the same: presentations in the morning and afternoon, with several hours in the middle of the day devoted to equipment – an exhibition, demonstrations and conversations with technology suppliers.
Three conference sessions
The programme includes nine presentations, in the following order:

- FRONIUS – “Can a welder match a robot? FRONIUS Velo”, Dawid Wójcik
- LINDE GAZ POLSKA – “Linde Gaz gases and technologies supporting changes driven by the growth of the defence, shipbuilding and railway industries and other sectors of the economy”, Marek Menzel
- TECHNIKA SPAWALNICZA POZNAŃ – “Sensors in robotic welding: solutions from TECHNIKA SPAWALNICZA”, Mirosław Nowak
- POZNAŃ UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY – “Modern regeneration techniques in the restoration of historic rail vehicles”, Dr Artur Wypych
Demonstrations and equipment exhibition
The practical part of the day lasts almost three hours, from 11:55 to 14:50. It includes demonstrations of welding robots and cobots, laser welding and laser cleaning, induction heating, orbital welding and stud welding. An equipment exhibition runs at the same time, and participants can take part in prize competitions; the winners will be announced and awarded at 15:35. The day ends with a welders’ get-together in Pavilion 10 from 16:00.
Welding at ITM INDUSTRY EUROPE
The topics of the symposium match the scope of WELDING, the welding technologies section of ITM INDUSTRY EUROPE, one of the fair’s four specialised sections alongside AUTOMA, MACH-TOOL and SURFEX. The next edition of the fair will take place on 7–9 September 2027 at MTP Poznań Expo.
